Exceptional Beach Motel On my first trip to Wildwood and first stay in a 'motel' in 25 years, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this property. The front desk reception was very friendly and helpful, my room was spotless, recently renovated and updated, and stocked with the usual amenities. The Wifi was excellent. Although I didn't use it, the pool area was beautiful and well maintained. The Wildwoods Convention Center and Boardwalk are a very short distance away and the walkway to the beach was just outside the pool area. Also I loved that the property was non smoking. I will definitely be returning to this property on my next trip to Wildwood.
A Great Stay with my Students! I stayed here over the week of the Tournament of Bands Indoor Percussion Championships with the Lake Lehman HS Percussion and Color Guard, and the entire stay was fantastic. The hotel management, staff, and housekeeping were absolutely incredible for being accommodating to our groups, as well as giving us punctual and thorough room service. The hotel staff even came and took some photographs (after asking permission of course). Lake Lehman has been staying at the Fleur De Lis for years, but this was my first experience staying here with this group, and I hope to continue staying here in the future, as it was an awesome stay.Only a short walk to the boardwalk, nice rooms, and stellar service.
Very nice!! We had a reservation at Starlux, that they cancelled on us without notification, (stay away from Starlux!). We were very fortunate and thankful that happened because we Fleur de Lis saved us and had one room available to accommodate my family of 6! We were very pleased with our stay. Staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and updated. They had Direct TV, so my kids were able to watch their kids shows. They had plenty of light in the room, so we can actually see what we were doing! They supplied us with typical hotel soaps and Shampoos which was nice. The property and pool were clean and pleasant. The non smoking property was a breath of fresh air! I also appreciated the hand sanitizer on the walls throughtout the property. Hotel is walking distance to the boardwalk. This hotel definitely attracts a nice group of guests. Wifi was very slow. We will be back, and recommend this hotel.
On the beach Rooms were clean, people were real friendly and helpful. Went there in off season so most of the guests were older, so it was peaceful. They say on the beach, which it is but the water is about a 300 yds. from the motel. Bring you walking sandals. Only reason I didn't give a 5 is the AC had a mine of its own about the temperature. Had to play with a little to get the right temp.
Worth every penny!!! First time staying at the Fleur de Lis! Have always wanted to stay here and was definitely worth the wait!! My children and I stayed here for one week and were extremely happy with our visit!! The resort is so well kept, staff was very friendly and helpful, and housekeeping service was good too! My only recommendation would be maybe assigned parking spots for each room? If you leave the resort at night, you can pretty much guarantee you won't have a parking spot when you return or will end up at the meters.
Fantastic motel, fantastic location It's been nearly 50 years since the last time I was in Wildwood (as a kid). I wanted to find a great place to "introduce" my wife and kids to the Crest, and hit the jackpot with the Fleur de Lis. It's everything the other reviewers here say it is — the cleanest motel in the Crest, very friendly/helpful staff, etc. Maid service starts pretty early (like 9am), so you'll need to put the little Privacy badge on the door the night before if you like to sleep in...It's only a half dozen blocks up from Palm Road where I stayed as a kid (Jolly Roger is still there!!! :) and a half dozen blocks down from the start of the boardwalk. There are several great restaurants within walking distance, a bike rental place just a few blocks up, and the beach area straight out from the motel is just perfect. What I liked best about the E room was having two queen beds — they also seemed to have a memory foam type mattress, but I couldn't be sure. Very comfortable. I'm 6'2" and used to a king length bed, but many other motels only offer double or full beds (just a bit too short) and very very few with kings. Efficiency had pans, plates/bowls, utensils (cooking as well), coffee pot, toaster, nice size fridge, and stove of course. You can borrow tools from the front desk for grilling — there are two grills, they work great and are kept very clean of course. The only gripe I could come up with was the amount of space in the E room for the dining table... placement of it next to the fold-out sofa bed didn't leave any room to get around to the back chair, so we just moved it to the middle of the room and put it back when done. All fixtures appeared very new and in great working condition. The A/C worked great; although the compressor was a little on the noisy side in the bedroom, we just turned the fan on constant which helped put all of us to sleep. :)Pool is very nice, kids loved the slide and playing in the water return "fountain". There's a ping-pong table (you have to buy the balls from the front desk), and a "game room" with a couple video games and a pinball table. Also have a snack and soda machine. On-prem coin-op laundry helped out a lot, allowing us to pack fewer clothes. The only thing the Fleur doesn't have that many other "larger" motels in the area do is a cafe/restaurant, but that's hardly a concern. The parking spots are verrry narrow, but everyone was very careful around others cars, even folding their mirrors in if they could. The week we were there, several rooms on the first floor had people who knew each other (most with little kids) and spent a lot of time in the pool area. Makes me a little thankful I asked for a third floor room, but the 11pm "curfew" on noise was respected by all. If only the ice cream trucks constantly prowling around would do the same... ;)
Clean, updated and has everything needed! I honestly don’t even know where to begin, we were so happy with our stay and can’t wait to go back. Not only was our room immaculate but so was the facility itself. You can definitely see the pride of ownership. We stayed in the oceanfront and I will stay there every time if possible. It was the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of the pool and had great views of the beach. The room itself was not only clean, but bright and updated. The kitchenette had EVERYTHING. I mean down to plates, coffee mugs, cooktop, apt size fridge with freezer, ice trays, pans, spatula, utensils, wine opener and more! Next to the sink a small bottle of dish soap was left, I mean the mom in me was grinning ear to ear. I came prepared but those little things like the wine opener (very important to have and let’s be honest who remembers to bring one?) and the dish soap was the cherry on top. Bed was comfortable, remote was wrapped in plastic as if it was sanitized before our arrival, direct tv so lots of channel options (including Disney jr a plus with toddlers). I could go on and on. Unfortunately our toddler didn’t feel well the last night and I went and told the front desk to apologize the next morning but also to get a trash bag for the towels that were harmed and you couldn’t have been any more understanding to the situation, you were so kind and we truly appreciate that. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable, safe and memorable. See you next year!
Basking in the sun The Fleur de Lis Beach Resort is ablsolutely beautiful. The rooms are beautifully appointed with everything you need for a smooth delightful vacation. Every room is cleaned spotlessly. The staff is friendly, courteous, cheerful and make ones stay a delight. Can't wait to book again in the fall and next year. Right across from the Wildwood Crest beach for easy access. Can't say enough positive remarks about this place. Highly recommend.
* Please note: Like most motels in Wildwood Crest, NJ, The Fleur de Lis Beach Resort is, in fact, a motel, which means the room entrances are on the outside of the building. However, since so many of our guests search for us using "hotel", we use the words interchangeably on our website.
